『DAMAGE』 is a narrative about faith. It began when two individuals, upon setting foot in Seoul for the first time, were inspired by something they discovered amidst countless gazes. Among the subjects they observed were people who regularly participated in religious events, those who, in an era proclaiming “God is dead,” worship science as a substitute for God, and those who blindly believe in certain ideologies or trends—none of which are far removed from fervent believers.

In the end, what we call divinity exists within humans in various forms, shaped by the wounds and imperfections each person carries.

In Seoul, I encountered people with expressions that were as unreadable as concrete—almost as if they believed in nothing. Yet, I couldn’t help but imagine that perhaps they were witnessing another form of God, one that is invisible to us. Every individual carries their own scars, and those very wounds drive them to seek their own form of divinity.
